More warranties
Volkswagen Parts warranty
Volkswagen Parts are backed by a 2-year / unlimited-kilometre limited warranty from the date of purchase. Some parts, including batteries, come with a longer warranty. If purchased from an authorized dealer during the new-vehicle limited-warranty period, parts are covered for the longer of either the remainder of that new-vehicle limited-warranty period or a period of 2 years / unlimited kilometres.
Plus, with our Lifetime Brake Pad replacement program, once you pay for your first expert VW brake pad and disc replacement service, we’ll cover the cost of genuine VW brake pads for as long as you own your vehicle (installation and brake discs are extra).*
**To be eligible for lifetime brake pad program, a customer must first purchase a set of new Volkswagen Brake Pads and matching Volkswagen Brake Discs and have these installed by a Volkswagen Dealer in Canada. Thereafter, the cost of replacement brake pads will be covered at no charge as long as the same customer still owns the vehicle for which the first set of replacement brake pads and discs was purchased and installed by a VW dealer in canada. The Lifetime Brakepad Warranty program is non-transferable. Program does not include cost of new brake discs or installation.
Accessories warranty
Accessories are covered for the new-vehicle limited warranty period of 4 years / 80,000 km (whichever occurs first) when purchased at the time of new vehicle purchase. If purchased from an authorized dealer during the new-vehicle limited warranty period, accessories are covered for the longer of either the remainder of that new-vehicle limited warranty period or a period of 2 years / unlimited kilometres.
Accessories are covered for the 2-year / 40,000 km CPO limited warranty extension when purchased at the time of CPO vehicle purchase with the Premium Assurance Program.
Battery warranty
Volkswagen batteries are backed by a 3-year / unlimited-kilometre limited warranty,* and for 2 years after Volkswagen will absorb a prorated percentage of the battery replacement cost.**
*A limited warranty of 3 years, with no kilometre limit, applies when Volkswagen Original batteries are ordered and installed after the purchase or lease of your vehicle. Parts and accessories must be sold and installed by a Canadian Volkswagen dealer to qualify for both parts and labour coverage. Labour coverage is exclusive for parts and accessories installed by a Canadian Volkswagen dealer.
**This proration policy applies until the battery has been in service for 5 years. Installation and applicable taxes not included.
Roadside Assistance

*Offer available with paid service at authorized Volkswagen dealerships. Roadside assistance is provided by Club Auto Roadside Services. Term length of Roadside Assistance coverage will be determined by dealer. Offer expires December 31, 2022 and is subject to cancellation without notice. Offer cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash.
Recall information
Recalls address defects relating to motor vehicle safety or non-compliance with applicable Canadian federal motor vehicle safety or emissions standards.
In the interest of safety or the environment, recall work should be completed by a Volkswagen dealer as soon as possible.
