How to create your VWID
Set up your Volkswagen ID to use your Volkswagen Car-Net® account.   


Step 1: Download the Volkswagen Car-Net® Mobile App.
Legal: Not applicable for base GTI model, see dealer for details. Car-Net® services are available on eligible model year 2022 and newer VW vehicles. Subject to terms and conditions. Requires working electrical system, and availability of vehicle cellular connectivity and GPS signal. Not all services, functions and features are available on all vehicles. Step 2: Enter your email address and create your password.

Enter the same email you used at the dealership when you purchased your car. This helps us quickly verify you’re the primary owner. 


Step 3: Review and accept the Volkswagen ID Terms of Service.


Step 4: Verify your email address by clicking the link in your confirmation email.
