Tires are supplied and warranted by their manufacturer. The vehicle is sold equipped with four all-season tires. However, please remember that the use of winter tires may be mandatory in your province or territory. Make sure your vehicle has the proper tires at all times. Fuel consumption figures are estimates based on the Government of Canada’s approved criteria and testing methods. Your fuel consumption may vary. Airbags are supplemental restraints only and will not deploy under all accident scenarios. Always use safety belts and seat children only in the rear seats, using restraint systems appropriate for their size and age.
The TDI fuel efficiency claim of more than 1100 km per tank is based on the following Natural Resources Canada’s estimated fuel consumption ratings for the 2012 TDI Clean Diesel models: Jetta – 4.6L/100 km (highway) and 6.7L/100 km (city); Golf 5 door – 4.6L/100 km (highway) and 6.7L/100 km (city); Golf Wagon – 4.6L/100 km (highway) and 6.7L/100 km (city); Touareg – 6.8L/100km- (highway) and 11.2L/100km (city); Passat -4.4L/100 km (highway) and 6.8 L/100 km (city). Refer to the EnerGuide 2012. Estimated mileage is based on the following transmissions and fuel tank capacities for 2012 models: Jetta TDI Clean Diesel (manual transmission and a 55L fuel tank) / Golf 5-door TDI Clean Diesel (manual transmission and a 55L fuel tank) / Golf Wagon TDI Clean Diesel (manual transmission and a 55L fuel tank) / Touareg TDI Clean Diesel (automatic transmission and a 85L fuel tank) / Passat TDI Clean Diesel (manual transmission and a 70 L fuel tank).
