The biggest small Volkswagen, the Space up! is a small space wonder. Just 3.68 metres long and 1.63 metres wide, it offers the roominess of a significantly larger vehicle. Designers avoided superfluous gimmickry here. Like the up!, the space up! is characterized by a new harmony between technical layout and emotional design. The space up! is roomy largely because of its engine layout. The environmentally friendly gasoline, diesel and electric drives of the future up! family are located – as they were at one time on the Beetle and the Bulli – in the rear. To give you an idea, the four-door space up! is exactly 23 cm longer and 4 cm taller than the up! shown at the IAA in Frankfurt.
